Generating and Sharing Patient Statements

Generating and Sharing Patient Statements

Patient Statements can be handy when you want to run a report showing multiple visits together or share the billing statement with the patient to show amounts owed or paid. You can print or email statements with just the patient’s info, the patient and insurer, and with diagnosis and invoices.

Let’s take a look at how that works.

Enter the first or last name of the patient in the top navigation bar search box. Click Enter. Select the patient from the auto-populated results. The Patient's Chart page opens.

2. On the Patient Chart page, click "Billing Statement". A pop-up window opens.

3. On the Billing Statement window, enter the following details:

a. Statement Date
b. Claim number (if any)
c. Insurance adjuster name
d. Supplement information (click the checkbox if you want supplement details to be shown on the statement)
e. Notes (if any)
f. Click '
Generate Statement' - If you want all patient, insurance, amount owed, amount paid, balance due, and other billing details to be shown the statement.
g. Click 'Abbreviated Statement' - If you want to generate a statement with only patient information, diagnosis, and charges.

4. The Billing Statement is generated. Now, you can send this statement to the patient or print it.

a. Click the "
Print" icon to print a copy of this statement.
b. Click the "Mail" icon to email the statement to the patient.
