How to Add or Edit a CPT code

Managing CPT codes is a key part of chiropractic billing. Accurate codes mean smoother reimbursements and less hassle. With zHealth, adding or editing CPT codes is quick and easy—right from your dashboard.

This guide walks you through:

  • Adding a CPT Code: Enter new codes with all the details you need for accurate billing.
  • Editing a CPT Code: Update existing codes to keep everything current and organized.

i) How to Add a CPT Code


Info
1. Access your zHealth Dashboard. Hover the cursor over to your name. A drop-down menu will open. Click on the third option - Update Info - from the drop-down menu.

2. In the Update Info window, click on the fourth tab - CPT Codes. 

Next, click on the "Add CPT Code" button on the top right side. A pop-up window will open.

3. On the Add CPT Code window, add the following details to add a CPT code:

a. Enter the CPT Code name
b. Enter the CPT code description
c. Enter the price of the CPT code
d. Select the Place of Service option from the dropdown
e. Add CPT Modifier 1,
 Modifier 2, Modifier 3, and Modifier 4.
If you have Line Notes or want to enter the NDC Drug information for the CPT code, enter:
f. Line Note
g. Drug Name
h. NDC Number
i. Unit of Measure
j. Unit Count
k. Click "Add" to add the CPT code. 
The pop-up window will close automatically. And, the CPT code will be added to your facility.


ii) How to Edit a CPT Code

Info
1. Access your zHealth Dashboard. Click Update Info from the dropdown menu on the top right side.

In the Update Info window, click on the fourth tab -
CPT Codes. You will find a list of CPT codes and their details that you use in your facility.

On the right side of the CPT code screen, you will see a 
Search Box. Type the first few letters or numbers of the CPT code and the list will automatically start displaying the CPT codes starting with that letter or number.

2. Locate the CPT code you want to edit. To edit the CPT code, click on the 'Edit' icon. A pop-up window will open. You can edit the:

a. CPT code description
b. Price of the CPT code
c. Place of Service
d. Modifier 1, Modifier 2, Modifier 3, and Modifier 4
e. Line Note
f. Drug Name
g. NDC Number
h. Unit of Measure
i. NDC Unit Count
j. Click ' Update ' to save the new details of the CPT code. The pop-up window will close automatically. And, the CPT code will be updated.
