How to Manually Check-In Patients

How to Manually Check-In Patients

When you have patients who have been coming to your practice for a long time and you don't want them to fill their personal and insurance details through a tablet or patient portal, you can manually check them in. Follow the below steps to manually check-in patients at your practice.

1. On the zHealth Dashboard, search for the patient name who scheduled an appointment for today and you want to manually check-in this patient.

Click on the little 'Gear' icon at the end of the patient name.

2. A pop-up window will open. Click on the 'Check-in' button.
Note: The 'Check-in' button for an existing appointment will only check-in the patient for that appointment or appointments on the same day with the same provider.

3. The small circle at the end of the patient name on the Calendar changes to blue. This means the patient has checked in.

Click on the patient name to open the chart. Under the Summary section, you will see a new note created for the current date.
