Patient Type and SOAP Notes

Patient Type and SOAP Notes

In zHealth, there are three patient types available by default:

  • Cash Patients
  • Insurance Patients
  • Personal Injury Patients

The Patient Type configuration maps the patient type to the SOAP note a provider should use.

  • For Cash and Insurance Patients, a provider should use Chiro-Note (CHR)
  • For Personal Injury Patients, a provider should use PI notes
When any clinic signs up with us, we create two default SOAP note packages for that clinic - CHR and PI and three patient types Cash, Insurance and Personal Injury. The patient types and SOAP notes are mapped automatically by zHealth software so that a clinic can start taking notes for three types of patients as soon as they complete their initial setup.
