SALTing in SOAP Notes or How to Copy Previous Note

How does SALTing work?

zHealth supports copying of the previous visit SOAP note findings to the new visit. This is called SALTing, aka Same As Last Time.

Currently, the way SALTing works depends upon the Provider who is going to see the patient (appointment). The findings from the last visit from the same provider will be copied. If there is no visit from the same provider, only then it will copy the last visit which can be from any other provider.

How to Copy Previous Note?

1. Navigate to the Patient Chart. On the Patient Chart, you will be in the Summary section.

When a patient visits your practice by booking an online appointment or you have booked the patient through our Appointment Scheduler, a SOAP note is automatically created for the present date. So just below the Summary section, there will be a new SOAP note already created for the patient's visit for today's date.

Click on the "
Edit" button to open the SOAP note.

2. If you want to copy the previous exam notes, click "Copy Previous ROS"

3. If you want to copy the previous plan, click "Copy Previous Plan".

7. If you want to copy the previous daily notes, click "Copy Previous Note".

Note: The SOAP Note section is enhanced with a loader feature, designed to optimize the user experience. When selecting a specific component within the SOAP Note section, such as Exam, Plan, Daily Notes, or Objective, the system promptly loads the associated information within that component. During this loading process, it is important to note that user interaction with other components is temporarily disabled to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted loading experience. Once the loading is complete, you can freely navigate and interact with the loaded component and other components within the SOAP Note section.
