Send Text Message to a Patient

Send Text Message to a Patient

The Conversations (2-way texting) feature enables providers or staff to easily send and receive messages from patients through text. Messages can be sent directly to an individual patient. The Conversations feature uses your facility's dedicated landline number as the sender number. Please reach out to your Customer Success Specialist or send an email to support@zhealthehr.com to get this set up. To view the pricing of Conversations add-on, click here.

1. Enter the first or last name of the patient and click to select the patient from the auto-populated results. The Patient Chart page opens.

2. On the Patient Chart page, click on the "Conversation" tab.

3. On the Conversation tab, enter your message in the box. Click on the Send Message icon to send the text to the patient.

You can view the entire conversation with that patient in the same Conversation tab.

Note: The Conversations tab will show all text messages no matter if they are appointment reminders, Review PlusPatient Plus text or direct one-to-one conversations. If the patient replies to any of those texts, you can view them as incoming messages in the Conversations tab.
