Checking and/or Upgrading the version of Firmware and Config for Windows Users

Checking and/or Upgrading the version of Firmware and Config for Windows Users

There are two methods to update firmware and config versions of the AnyPay Cloudbridge App.

A. Update the version of firmware and config from the AnyPay CloudBridge App

1. From the home screen, click on the COG at the bottom right corner, to open settings. Select the 'OTA' button from the settings screen.

2. Click on “Check for Updates”.

3. Check if the Current Config Version matches the Target Config Version. Similarly, check if the current FW (firmware) matches the target FW version. If they don't match, click on 'Firmware Update' first and let it complete.

4. Next, click on 'Config. Update' and let it complete.

B. Update the version of firmware and config using the Chipper OTA app

1. On your Mac or on your Android or iPhone, open the app store. Search for "Chipper OTA" app. Download the app.

Note:

Android mobile users can click this link to download the app:

iOS mobile users can click this link to download the app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bbpos.chipperotaapp

2. Once you download the Chipper OTA app, open the app. Click "Get Started". The app will then search for the bluetooth card reader.
Note: Please turn on your card reader and connect it via bluetooth to your mobile or Mac system

3. If your card reader is turned on, the Chipper OTA app will show the device name. Click on "Select". The card reader will be connected to the app now. Wait for sometime as the app will collect information about the card reader's firmware.

4. On the next screen, you will details about your current firmware and target firmware. When the current and target firmware of the reader are different, the app will ask you to update the firmware. Click 'Yes' at the bottom to start the update process. The update process might take anywhere between 5-10 minutes.

5. Once the process is complete, close the app. Reopen it again. Click "Get Started". The app will again search for the card reader. If your card reader is turned on and connected via bluetooth, you will see the device name on the Chipper OTA app. Click "Connect". This time the app will show that your reader's firmware is up-to-date.
