This article walks through enrolling a payer (e.g., Medicare Part B) with Claim.MD as the clearinghouse using the EDISS Connect portal.
Step 1: Locate the Enrollment Instructions
The payer's enrollment letter/notice will include a link to complete enrollment online, such as:
The letter will also list which transactions to associate with Claim.MD, typically:
- 837P = Claim Submission
- 835 = Electronic Remittance (ERA)
- 276 = Claim Status Request (Claim Responses)
Important: Do not check any "I will" boxes for these transactions — checking "I will" means there is no clearinghouse connection for that transaction.
Step 2: Log In to EDISS Connect
- Go to https://connect.edissweb.com

- Enter the account Username and Password in the Log In box on the right side of the homepage
- Click Log In
Step 3: Open Manage Transactions
- From the top navigation bar, click Manage Transactions

- On the Manage Transactions page, click the NPI# link under "NPI# (Click to manage)" for the NPI you're enrolling

Step 4: Review the Line of Business and Transactions
Under the relevant line of business (e.g., Medicare Part B), you'll see each transaction type listed (837P, 835, 276) with:
- An "I will" and/or checkbox — leave unchecked
- A vendor row (once added) showing status such as Testing Completed – Approved or Completed

- An Add Vendor button if no vendor is associated yet
Step 5: Add Claim.MD as the Vendor
- Click Add Vendor next to the transaction you're setting up
- In the "Search for Vendor" field, enter the Submitter ID: Shared on First page of Claim MD

- Select Claim MD from the search results list
- Click Add
Repeat this for each required transaction (837P, 835, 276) under the line of business.
Step 6: Confirm Enrollment Status
After adding the vendor, the transaction row will update to show a status and timestamp, for example:
- Testing Completed – Approved
- Completed
The line of business as a whole may also show COMPLETED – Auto Approved with a date/time once all required transactions are set up.
Notes
- To remove a vendor association, use the delete link next to the vendor entry.
- Use + Add Another Transaction or + Add Another State to enroll additional transactions or states for the same NPI.
