Video Demonstrating- How to Submit an Individual Claim
In this video, you will learn how you can submit individual claim.
A guide providing step-by-step instructions explaining how to submit individual claim
The clinic can submit an individual claim either from the Patient's Chart under the Patient Billing tab or directly from the Billing Center
1(a). Open the patient's chart, navigate to the Patient Billing tab, and click the Submit Claim button located to the right of the Invoice button.
1(b). Navigate to the Billing Center and click the Submit Claim button found to the right of the Invoice button.
2. When the user clicks the Submit Claim button, the system opens the HCFA-1500 red form, prepopulated with the relevant information that the user can review and change if needed before submitting the claim.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the HCFA form, where you'll find a green Submit Claim button to submit the claim. If the payer (insurance company) has the claim type marked as EDI, the claim will be submitted electronically. If the claim is marked for paper submission, the system will not generate an EDI file. Instead, the clinic can print the HCFA form.
4. If the clinic needs to print a claim that is typically submitted electronically, the user can click the Print button located next to the Submit Claim button in green colour at the bottom of the HCFA form.
Note: The green PRINT button allows the clinic to print a black-and-white version of the HCFA form.
To print on the original red HCFA form, insert the original HCFA form into your printer and click the red PRINT HCFA button.
