Navigating the Billing Center in zHealth

Users can view all patients' billing and claim details in the Billing Center. This area provides tracking and insight into the statuses of claims submitted to insurance payers. Users can post ERA or EOB payments, download EDI, generate claims, submit batch claims and even edit invoices before submitting the final claims.

A. Access the Billing Center

1. Access your zHealth dashboard and hover the cursor on your name in the top right corner. Click on the fourth option - Billing Center.

B. Navigating the Billing Center


1. On the Billing Center page, you can view specific claims and invoices using the filter options. Filter claims by:

a. Date of service - Defaults to all dates with the latest visit dates showing on the top. Click to select a specific date range.
b. Insurance - Defaults to All Insurances. Click to select an individual insurance name. 
c. Patient type - Defaults to All Patient Types. Click to select a specific patient type.
d. Provider Type - Defaults to All Providers in your facility. Click to select a specific provider.
e. Click "
Search"



2. On the Billing Center page, you can filter down your claims further with the following options:
  1. Visit Date
  2. Claim Date
  3. Patient Name
  4. Part of Membership (if the invoice is a part of a membership plan, it shows "M", if it is not, it shows "*")
  5. Patient Type
  6. Invoice
  7. Patient Paid
  8. Insurance Paid
  9. Discount
  10. Patient Responsibility
  11. Insurance Responsibility
  12. Balance
  13. Active Claim Status
  14. Invoice Status
You can take action for each claim or invoice. View and edit invoices. View the claim audits using the "three parallel lines" icon. View EDI-837 files of claims, submit a claim, delete a claim, or edit claim status.




3. Click and use the quick action buttons on the Billing Center page to find EOBs and ERAs, print claims, generate claims, submit batch claims, or generate monthly statements.

a. EOB: Click the EOB button to search and view all the Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) received from insurance companies. 
b. ERA: Click the ERA button to search and view all the Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) received from insurance companies.
c. Download EDI: Click to search and download Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) claims.
d. Print Claims: Click to search claims by date and/or insurance company and then print the claims if required.
e. Generate Claims: Use this button to quickly generate primary or secondary claims.
f. Batch Submit Claims: Click to search claims by date and/or insurance company and submit all claims at once.
g. Generate Monthly Statements: Click to generate monthly patient statements and email them at once to respective patients.




4. Providers and staff can download or print Billing Center Report from the Billing Center page.

a. Click the "Download" icon to download the .csv file of the
Billing Center report.
b. Click the "Print" icon to print the individual pages of your billing center. To print more pages, click "Previous" or "Next" on the bottom right corner of the Billing Center page.
