Enable New Patient Chart from SMS
In this help article, we will explain how zHealth automatically creates a new patient chart when a patient sends a message using a new number that is not in the database. If you have the Conversations feature enabled, you can conveniently view these messages in the Conversations dashboard.
Step 1: Get The Feature Enabled
Ensure that the "New Patient from SMS" feature is enabled for your clinic. To turn on this feature, request the customer support team at support@zHealthEHR.com.
Step 2: Patient Sends a Message from a New Number
When a patient sends a message using a new number, zHealth will automatically detect that the number is not in the database.
Our software will create a new patient chart for this contact, populating it with the information provided in the incoming text message. This ensures that all patient data is captured and organized efficiently. Additionally, it will also update the patient contact table and map the patient with the designated facility.
Step 3: Accessing the New Patient Chart from the Conversations Dashboard
If you have the Conversations feature enabled, you can conveniently view these messages from new patient numbers.
