How to Shorten a URL and Make it Easily Shareable


URLs can get long, complicated, and unwieldy. Here are some popular (and free to use) URL shorteners you can use:


1. How to shorten a URL using Bit.ly


Open Bitly in your web browser. Copy the URL you want to shorten. 


 
Paste the URL into the "Shorten your link" field and click Shorten.
 
  
Click "Copy" to grab the new URL.


2. How to Shorten URL using TinyURL


 
Copy the URL you want to shorten. Open TinyURL in your web browser. Paste the URL into the field under "Enter a long URL to make a tiny URL"

Click the "Make TinyURL" button.

TinyURL will then generate a new, shortened link for you. Click on the "Copy" button to copy the short URL.



3. How to shorten a URL using Rebrandly


 
Copy the URL you want to shorten. Open Rebrandly in your web browser. 

Paste the URL into the "Make your links shorter" field and click the "Shorten URL" button.


Rebrandly will generate a shortened link below the field mentioned above, and to copy it click "Copy".
