In-App Notification Feature in zHealth Mobile App

In-App Notification Feature in zHealth Mobile App

Introduction

We have introduced a new feature in zHealth- In-App Notifications, specifically designed for the zHealth Mobile App. This feature enables clinics to communicate with their patients more effectively and in real time.

With In-App Notifications, clinics can now send bulk push notifications to all patients who have the zHealth Patient Mobile App installed on their Android or iOS devices. These notifications appear as push alerts on the patient's phone and can be tapped to view the full message.

All notifications sent through this feature are also stored in the app's “Messages” section, where patients can easily access and review previous messages from the clinic at any time. In addition to manual in-app notifications, both the first and second appointment reminders will also be delivered as push notifications to the patient's mobile app (if installed).

How to Send In-App Notifications?

Providers can easily access and use the In-App Notification feature within the zHealth Mobile App.

This user-friendly feature allows you to send personalized notifications to your active patients. It's an effective way to keep patients informed about important updates such as new services, special offers, membership plans, pricing changes, or office closures and openings.

Here are the detailed step-by-step instructions:

Info
1. Sign in to your zHealth Provider App using your login credentials. Then, tap the "Explore" option located at the bottom right corner of the navigation bar.

Info
2. After tapping the "Explore" option, additional menu items will appear. Select the "Messages" option from the list.

Info
3. Within the "Messages" section, you will see two features: Bulk Text and In-App Notifications. Select the "In-App Notifications" tab to compose the message you want to send to your patients as a push notification.

Info
4. To send a push notification to patients via In-App Notifications, two mandatory fields must be completed: the Subject Line and the Message Body

After completing both fields, click the "Send Notification" button to deliver the message to your patients.
Notes
Note: Below both fields, the allowed character limit is displayed, along with a live count of the characters you've typed.

Info
5. After you click the "Send Notification" button, the message is added to the queue and will be delivered to patients within a few minutes, depending on the number of patients at your clinic.

What Patients See on Their Phone?

Once the system sends the notifications, patients with the zHealth Patient Mobile App installed will receive a push notification banner on their phone’s lock screen.

Info
1. Patients with the zHealth Mobile App installed will see the push notification banner, provided notifications are enabled for the app in their smartphone settings.

The push notification banner shows the name of your practice, helping patients easily identify where the message is coming from and ensuring they don't miss important updates from your clinic.

Info
2. When a patient taps the notification banner while logged into the Patient Mobile App, they are taken directly to the "Messages" section.

Info
3. Alternatively, patients can log into their zHealth Patient Mobile App account and select the "Messages" section located in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

Notes
Note: The total number of unread messages is shown as a red bubble on the "Messages" icon in the navigation bar.

Info
4. The patient can tap the notification message listed under the "Notifications" tab within the Messages section of the Mobile App to view the complete message.

Notes
Note: The patient can delete the message by tapping the trash can icon located at the top right corner of the full message.

Info
5. The patient can find a specific notification by using the search field provided. They can also filter messages to show only read or unread notifications by applying the filter located next to the search field.

Notes
Note: Unread notification messages are highlighted with a blue background, while read messages appear with a white background.

The "In-App Notifications" feature may not be enabled for your clinic.
