Send Text Message to a Patient and View Received Messages in Conversations
The Conversations (2-way texting) feature enables providers or staff to easily view, send, and receive messages from patients. Messages can be sent directly to an individual patient. The Conversations feature uses your facility's dedicated landline number as the sender number. Please reach out to your Customer Success Specialist or send an email to support@zhealthehr.com to get this set up. To view the pricing of Conversations add-on, click here.

B. How to View All Text Messages
1. To view the text messages sent to a specific patient, click the "Send Text" button in front of the patient name as shown here. On the right side of the screen, you will see all messages sent to this patient.
| |
2. If you receive a text message from a new number not registered with any patient chart, you can see the message received from the new number. Note: zHealth automatically generates new patient charts when receiving a text from a new number. Click the phone number hyperlink to access the Patient Chart created with that number, using it as the first name. Other fields will have default or blank values.

Note: The Conversations tab will show all text messages no matter if they are appointment reminders, Review Plus, Patient Plus text or direct one-to-one conversations. If the patient replies to any of those texts, you can view them as incoming messages in the Conversations tab. Please note: Today, zHealth supports receiving SMS texts (Short Message Service) only. Any MMS texts (Multimedia Messaging Service) that include emojis, gifs, and/or images will not be delivered. Allowing MMS texting is an enhancement scheduled on the 2024 roadmap.
