Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To help safeguard your account, practice details and personal information, zHealth uses a One-Time Passcode (OTP) as part of the identity verification process when you contact our customer support. This additional security step ensures that we are speaking with the authorized account owner before sharing information or providing assistance.
When you call our customer support team, you may be asked to provide a One-Time Passcode sent to your registered contact method (email or mobile number). The passcode is valid for a limited time and can only be used once.

All zHealth customers (active) must ensure that their email address and mobile number are verified using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Facility Settings > Provider tab. Once these contact details are verified, when a staff member contacts zHealth Customer Support, a One-Time Passcode (OTP) will be sent to the verified email address or mobile number. The caller must verbally provide this passcode to the support agent for identity verification. After successfully verifying, the support agent can proceed with assisting the customer. Please ensure that your email address and mobile number are properly verified to avoid delays when contacting our support team.

Detailed Instructions for Verifying Your Email Address and Mobile Number

Info
1. When you log in to your zHealth account, the system will display a modal screen with the following two fields:
  1. Email address
  2. Mobile number

Info
2. The Email Address and Mobile Number fields will be automatically populated from the logged-in user’s account details in Facility Settings > Provider (Email Address and Cell Number), if available.
If needed, the user can edit the email address and mobile number directly from the modal screen.

Info
3. The user can click the "Send OTP" button next to the Email Address or Mobile Number field to receive the One Time Passcode. Enter the OTP to verify it.

Info
4. Once verified, the Email Address and/or Mobile Number will display a green checkmark next to the field instead of the Send OTP button.

Notes
Note: This is a one-time process. When your Email Address and Mobile Number are successfully verified using 2FA, you will not need to complete this verification again.
Notes
Note: It is not required for every staff member in a practice to have a unique email address and mobile number.
